Course for:

students working or planning to work in design and architecture, construction, decoration, furniture manufacturing and engineering. Suitable for beginners and professionals. About the course

It’s similar to a virtual construction site: we start with existing walls, then we erect partitions, apply plaster, calculate the areas and volumes of the rough and finished floors, insert windows and doors, texture them, model the furniture ourselves and arrange the finished ones. At the end of the course, you get a virtual model of the house, which is displayed on pages in the form of pictures, videos and drawings: plans, sections, sections and developments.

We study the basic tools of SketchUp on the construction of single-flight, double-flight, combined and spiral staircases. The walls of the house contain a round and polygonal bay window and are divided into layers – plaster, brick, insulation, facing brick.

We perfect the calculation of volumes by constructing the plinth, walls, rough and finished floors, window lintels, interfloor ceilings and armored belts. The areas of the coatings are considered to be applied textures. We create a specification for elements using the example of plasterboard sheets and tiles. We show the dimensions in SketchUp and LayOut drawings.

The creation of complex geometry is illustrated using the example of a bathtub, sink and toilet. We model decorative elements: smooth and fluted columns, plinths, ceiling cornices, platbands and panels.

We build furniture in simple volumes, based on photographs, and arrange ready-made furniture from the 3D Warehouse website. We save furniture and decorative elements in the form of components into a local collection for reuse.

We create materials from images found on the Internet and download them from the School website and 3D Warehouse.

We pay special attention to the creation of an animated video – a video walk through the project, and also set the dynamic properties of opening and closing doors at the click of a mouse.

We draw up the drawings on A3 with the main inscription with the necessary data for implementation. We create symbols and use ready-made ones. The album includes pages: title page, project composition, wall layout; and plans: measurements, erected walls, finishing, flooring, furniture, ceiling, electrical.
